Last week on Insta I shared that my blogger bestie and I had a content planning session. I’ve always had a planner for projects at work and my personal to-do’s but up until now haven’t really planned any content for my blog or instagram.
I know a lot of people use a multiple planning system buuut that doesn’t work for me – it’s way too much to keep track of so I got a planner that allows me to segment my day and different categories, like blog and social media content!
This year I went with a Plum Paper vertical planner with headers that I can fill out for whatever the weeks needs will be. But I always leave a section toward the bottom of the planner for blog/social media content.
I’ll track 1/3 or even 3/3 of the following in the blog/social media of my planner:
1. Social media posts – if there is a specific post I want to plan ahead for, I’ll mark the date I want to post the image in my planner.
2. Photo shoots – I always plan my outfits out ahead of time. I use this section of my planner to keep track of what outfits I want to shoot when. I’ll also make notes to myself as I am a very forgetful person! If I want to remember to shoot a detail shot of jewelry or shoes, ill make note of it under the outfit idea.
3. Content timelines/deadlines- The space allows me to jot down deadlines for myself. For instance if I want to get a blog post up by Friday, I usually like to have the content and post all completed by Wednesday. This section is huge on holding me accountable to get my sh*t done and in order.
Another way I use this space for content and deadlines is for purchases! If I want to put together say, an amazon haul, I’ll include when I need to place the order by so I have everything I need by the time I’m ready to shoot the content.
The side bar section is also really helpful as well. The notes section of this planner is great to make lists of items I need, or want to purchase.
I feel so much more confident that I will provide consistent content for you guys after figuring out this system! If you’re interested in this specific planner I’ll link it here. Keep in mind they have multiple layouts that you can choose from so you can find something that works for you specifically.
February Already!? Honestly, I’m okay with it. It just means we are one month closer to spring which means we are one month closer to leaving behind the 5 degree weather we’ve been having in New Jersey….BURRR.
It also means we’ve entered the month of lo0o0ove. My fiance and I really never celebrate Valentines day or exchange gifts but I might ask for one of these items that I am sharing with you all today…
I admit, I am swooning over all of the heart shaped gifts floating around all the stores for! Today I’m sharing a bunch of great gift ideas for your friends, sister, co-worker … whomever! I think these items would make the cutest gifts if you are celebrating Galentines day with your girls and wanna exchange a little sommin, sommin.
Or if you see something you like, you can also nonchalantly e-mail this blog link to your significant other 😉
I’ve been obsessed with skin care ever since high school. I’ve experimented with numerous brands and products. Origins is a brand I’ve found that never disappoints!
One of my favorite products is their Charcoal Mask. I use this on an as needed basis when my skin misbehaves. I apply a generous amount to my problem areas or all over my face, (depends on my mood) and let it sit for 30 minutes – an hour. The charcoal helps extract all the ‘gunk’ that sits in your pores. It’s like a deep cleaning product for your skin.
I’ll even use this as a spot treatment overnight if I have a stubborn spot I’m trying to eliminate. It will reduce the redness and clears up my skin much quicker.
I’ve used this all year round and find it doesn’t dry my skin out in the winter time so I’d definitely recommend this for all skin types!
J Crew holds a special place in my heart. I worked retail there for a couple of years … the discount was AWESOME!
During my Cyber Week shopping rampage I picked up the most fun sweater from JCrew. This cable knit popcorn sweater is so perfect for the holidays. It comes in 6 different colors and its perfect for layering your favorite plaid shirts underneath. The material is so thick so it’s sure to keep you warm all winter long! I love dressing it up and down with a pair or booties and my favorite Free People jeans.
There nothing more satisfying that longing over a high priced item and finding a dupe for it. Today I’m sharing part one of an on going series titled ‘Hyer Fashion Dupes’ In this series I’ll be sharing all of my favorite high end items and similar or comparable finds.
Today’s find, booties! While I do have an obsession for shoes, I hate to spend a ton of money on them. I tend to be …. a clumsy walker, and my poor shoes suffer in the end.
I’ve been oogling these Steve Madden booties since the Nsale but I know I’m not speaking for myself when I say that $130 for booties is a hard pill to swallow. Especially when there are so many affordable options there.

I ALWAYS shop the shoe section of Target so when I stumbled on their website, I went straight to their shoe category and found these booties by Universal Thread. These booties come in 3 different colors ( including an olive shade that I’m obsessed with) and have the same laser cut design on the back end of the shoe. The fit is true to size. I purchased these in black but might have to go back a snag the olive…. and the taupe.

September is finally here! Does anyone else get really antsy the moment September comes!? I can say for sure that I’m ready for the cooler weather!
My new favorite piece of attire is a T-shirt dress and I’ve found a great 3/4 sleeved option for fall. The best thing about this dress is that it’s extremely versatile so today I’m going to show you how I style this dress 3 ways.
First, let’s just focus on how classic this dress looks on its own. For this look, I kept things pretty simple and paired it with the most adorable blush mules (linked below). Since the dress has sleeves it’s a great transition piece for a girls night out or date night.

Next, I dressed it down with a pair of sandals and a denim jacket, which I’m also obsessed with (more on this piece at a later date!). I love the laid back feel of this look with the jacket tied around the waist.

Finally, I styled this dress for a more ‘work appropriate’ look. Just as a sidebar… I bought this dress in a petite XS as I wanted the length to be a bit on the shorter side. If I had purchased a regular XS I could totally get away with wearing this to work as it hit just above my knee. Anyway, I threw an oversized cardigan over top of the dress (idk about you but my office is always chilly!) and a pair of heels. I adore this look the most!

Which style is your favorite??
I’m not exactly sure why I don’t wear all white more often.. I wore this look out to dinner on the water last night and it was soo easy breezy and a great summer to fall transition outfit. Thank goodness for the cardigan because it was chillly!
Last night I went with a white cami and a pair of white high waisted jeans. Two very simple pieces but the bright white just makes everything feel so chic. My personal favorite way to style an all white look is to pair a couple of neutral pieces with the outfit, like beiges or taupes. The cardigan and booties added style to the look without distracting from the crisp appeal of the outfit.
